Valentine's Day is just around the corner! I know some of you are making plans with your significant other, OR maybe you're getting together with some girlfriends. Whatever the case may be, I created this romantic glam makeup look for y'all to try out!
I will be listing all of the product details throughout this post, and you can find a short video tutorial at the end.

First off, I like to start the whole process by prepping my face with the Pixi Beauty 'Glow Tonic' Toner.
This toner is great for all skin types. Here are some of the product details:
• Formulated with 5% Glycolic Acid • Exfoliates, brightens and smoothes skin • Aloe vera, ginseng and botanical extracts work together to nourish and treat • Instant glow inhancer • Alcohol free • Gentle for all skin types • Not tested on animals
I just use a cotton pad or cotton ball to rub this all over my face. This toner will help remove any dirt or oil and prep the skin for primer and foundation. It truly helps the products apply better on the skin.
Next up is primer. I like using the Too Faced Hangover primer. This product is great for those of you who have combo or dry skin. It will also help your foundation apply better and stay on longer.
This primer:
Hydrates and boosts skin's radiance
Promotes skin's elasticity
Soothes and smooths the skin
Is infused with hydrating coconut water
3) For this makeup look I decided to combine two different foundations. I do this for color and texture purposes. You don't have to do this, but I feel like it works well with my skin type, (dry skin) and the lumi foundation is a few shades dark which helps when I self tan.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in the Color Ecru. If you've been following my blog for a while, you already know that I've raved about this foundation many times. It's great for all skin types, is oil free, stays on up to 24 hours, feels light weight, and will last through heat and humidity. This Texas girl is happy about that!
Loreal True Match Lumi Foundation in the color buff beige (N4). I use a drop of this darker foundation with the Estee Lauder Double Wear to create the perfect color. The double wear is a matte finish and the lumi is a dewy finish which creates the perfect texture for me.
I mix the two of these foundations on the back of my hand to warm them up. I then apply them with a beauty blender sponge. I feel that the beauty blender gives the best application.
Tarte Shape Tape concealer in the shade light. This concealer is by far one of the best concealers I've tried to date! It's texture is a little thicker compared to others, but it covers so well under the eyes and it doesn't crease over time.
I like to set my foundation and concealer with the Laura Mericer translucent powder. Since I have dry skin I don't go too heavy with this. If you're someone who has oily skin, I highly recommend setting the T-zone with extra powder. This particular powder by Laura Mericer has won many beauty awards. It goes on evenly and sets makeup without adding weight or texture.
For this look I used the Kat Von D 'Shade + Light' contour palette. I've featured this contour palette a few times now. I love mixing the 3 contour shades together and then I apply it right under my cheek bones.
Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade is one of my favorite brow products. I use the shade medium brown with their #12 duo brow brush.
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion is great for helping eyeshadow stay on the eyelids all day/night without the shadows creasing. It also helps with the application of the eyeshadow. I take a small dab of this and apply it to both eyelids. I then take some of the Laura Mercier setting powder I mentioned above and set the eyelids with that powder.
For this look I used two different eyeshadow palettes. I used the 'Morphe Jaclyn Hill' eyeshadow palette and the Anastasia Beverly Hills 'Modern Renaissance' eyeshadow palette.
I started out with the color "silk creme" from the Jaclyn Hill palette for my transition shade. A transition shade helps the other colors you'll be layering on top blend out easier. Take a fluffy blending brush like (this one) and apply this transition shade to your eyelid crease.
I then took the shade "buon fresco" from the modern renaissance palette and layered that on top of the transition shade using the same blending brush.
For the outer corner I used the shade "Abyss" from the Jaclyn Hill palette. I took a small pencil brush to apply it on the outer corner, then used the same fluffy blending brush I mentioned above to buff/blend it out.
I finished off the eye makeup with the shade "Vermeer" from the modern renaissance palette on my inner corners and the first half of the lids with a flat shader brush.
For eyeliner I used the Maybelline Curvitude Eyeliner. I've been really enjoying this eyeliner so far. It has a curved end which helps keep a steady hand during application.
I used my new Loreal Mascara for this makeup look! I featured this mascara in my 2018 Drugstore Beauty Haul. This is the Loreal Voluminous XFiber Mascara. This mascara has been great so far. It definitely adds volume and length to my lashes. It separates every lash which is something I look for in a mascara.
Of course a glam makeup look wouldn't be complete without some false lashes. ;) ( you can skip this step by the way.. I just love the look of false lashes) The Ardell Wispies are my favorite false lashes and you can find these at the drugstore or Sally's Beauty. I think they look more natural compared to others. I apply them with the Kiss strip lash glue. (can also be found at the Drugstore)
For the lips I used the Maybelline Superstay Matte Lipstick in the color "lover." (How fitting for Valentine's Day! lol) So there are some pros and cons to this product. Pro: This formula/color stays on ALL day/night! This formula seriously does not budge once you apply it your lips. I've worn this lipstick to a few events where I've drank and ate, and the color is still on without me having to re-apply it. The con: the formula is sticky and feels uncomfortable when you first apply it. Other than that, I like this product for its staying power.
Milani Cosmetics just launched some new blushes and highlighters and I'm in LOVE with these! This blush is the 'Color Harmony Blush Palette' in the color 'pink play.' It features 4 different colors. (which I mix together) A little product goes a long way and the colors look beautiful on the skin! Highly recommend these.
This is the Milani Cosmetics strobe-light highlighter in the color "afterglow-01." Y'ALL....This highlighter is so pigmented and gorgeous!! You will see my face light up in the video below. lol.
Here is another glimpse at the final makeup look.
