So happy spring is here and we're finally starting to see warmer temps. :) This weather definitely makes me want to get out and about.
This past weekend Garett and I decided to go to Round Top, TX to checkout the spring antique festival. If you've never heard of this festival before, you should check it out! They have miles and miles of stuff! From home decor, to furniture, and even clothing boutiques.
His friend TJ and TJ's wife Amanda have a booth at the festival every year. They're located in the area called "The boneyard." This area has the "Barnwood Builders" and their featured work from the DIY network. We peaked in the 'tiny' barn wood home they had on site (next to TJ & Amanda's booth) and Mark Bowe the show's host was inside. I had no idea who he was until we left the area and they told me about the show. Haha, oops! Now I want to watch the show.
I wore this spring floral dress this past Saturday. When we left in the morning the temperature was in the 60's, but I knew it would warm up later.
Here is the back of the dress. I ordered this dress in a size medium and I would say it fits true to size. It did feel a little loose in the upper back, but that was the only thing I noticed about the fit. I received so many compliments throughout the day!
(Garett and I at our friend's booth. ). He was a trooper taking all of my blogger pics and letting me get a few insta stories. ;-)
(Here is a snapshot of the front of their booth!)
Here is one of the floral arrangement's that TJ and Amanda had. They had so many different kinds and I realized after we left that I didn't snag a picture of their floral arrangement section. :(
After leaving Round Top, we decided to make the long hour and 20 minute drive to Lockhart, TX to feast on some famous BBQ. We hadn't eaten all day so I was questioning our decision the entire drive. (what were we thinking?! lol.) Every time we passed a food joint my stomach was passively aggressively making jabs at me. "There was a Whataburger at exit 203 Amy!"
How we felt once we got our food. haha. We were so hungry, and Black's BBQ was definitely worth the wait! Hands down some of the best BBQ I've ever had. The brisket was so tender you could cut it with a fork. The flavor was good too. To me the meat didn't even need BBQ sauce. The sides were delicious too! I chose green beans & mashed potatoes and Garett had beans, yams, and jalepano cornbread.
Let's just say we had to walk around Lockhart's town square for a few minutes to let our food settle. ;)
It was a great day trip and a fun way to spend some time together. Hope y'all enjoyed the weekend as well!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great week!
