Hi Everyone!
I hope your 2017 has been off to a great start. Mine has been going very well so far. I've been able to cross off a lot of items on my to do list. There's no better feeling! :)
Since 2017 started, I've noticed some *new* drugstore beauty products out in the market. I wanted to try these products out, and give my review here on the blog. Here we go!
Physicians Formula "Organic Wear Bright Booster" was the first item to catch my eye. They have a statement on the packaging about the ingredients that showed: 100% of natural origin and 99.5% organic. This product is an oil elixir that is recommended to be used in the morning. This product is made up of Mongongo Oil and Rhodiola Extract.
*Mongongo Oil is derived from the fruit of the manketti tree. Mongongo oil is high in polyunsaturated fatty acids. These fatty acids can retain moisture and keep the skin glowing while smoothing out rough texture. These fatty acids also help diminish fine lines and wrinkles.
*But it's really the acidic properties of mongongo oil that make it a stand out. The first of which is linoleic acid, which is great for calming inflammation. if you suffer from redness or eczema of some kind, mongongo oil is your answer.
*Rhodiola Extract is an herb that delivers powerful Antioxidants. This plant or root is known for surviving harsh cold weather conditions. Because of this, it functions on the skin to boost immunity so it's less susceptible to environmental stressors like pollution or sun damage.
This oil elixir doesn't contain a smell or scent which is good. I will be honest and say that it does feel a little greasy when you first apply it. However, after about 2 minutes I noticed it settled into the skin and left my skin looking SUPER glowy and youthful!
I've been using this oil for about a week and a half now, and I've noticed a great change in my skin. It looks smoother and more hydrated. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone!
I purchased this at H-E-B, (a Texas grocery store chain) but I linked the product above so you can purchase it off of Amazon.
Maybelline came out with this mascara called "The Falsies Push Up Angel." You can't go wrong with a mascara by Maybelline, so I definitely had to purchase this. I am picky when it comes to formula and brush style, but pictured below is the brush which looked very defining. This is what had me intrigued.
So far I'm really loving this mascara! The formula is great, and it doesn't clump up. The brush and formula cover every lash and it works great on the lower lashes as well.
Jordana 'Sculpt N' Go' Contour Stick is next up on the list. This product is really easy to work with and glides on smoothly. It blends out well with a beauty blender or sponge. This product was only $4.99 at Walgreens! This is a great affordable product to add to your makeup collection and routine.
I saved the best for last. :) I was so excited to snag these and try them out! These Wet N' Wild Matte Liquid catsuit Lipsticks were also only $4.99 at Walgreens.
You guys, I think I've found my new favorite lip product. Seriously, I am so impressed by these! These apply so well and don't crack like some other matte lipsticks. Also, another great product with a great price point.
I would choose these any day over the Anastasia ones.
Look at that color! Once again, I'm a huge fan of these. :)
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!
